Director's Notes:
What a joy to work on such a wonderful play with a cast equal to the task of bringing Michel Tremblay's words to life. The first time I read For the Pleasure of Seeing Her Again, I knew I wanted to be a part of a production of it one day. Although I lost my own mother at a young age, her zest for life, her love of the arts, her wig collection are just a few of the many things that surround and support me in my own endeavour to carve a place for myself in the arts. Our relationship with our parents is irreplaceable. They are giants. They are human. They are legends in their own time. This play, more than any other I have read, is not just about the relationship between mothers and their children, but a peek into a world of artists and the source of their inspiration. It is a beautiful, funny, poignant play about our first love ... our parents.

"In the current Georgian Theatre Festival production, directed by the talented young Lezlie Wade…for The Pleasure of Seeing Her Again is a very moving and deeply autobiographical work.”
